I was lucky enough to see the beautiful exhibition of Burberry's A/W 17 in the Makers House, showing all the wonderful and talented craftsmanship all around the downstairs on the exhibition space. Ok, so imagine walking into a courtyard with beautiful plants and leafage surrounding you with tables and chairs dotted around. Sculptures and busts placed frequently throughout the entrance into the building and then when you walk in, through the french doors of course, there is a smell of warm food and coffee that hugs you as soon as you walked in.

-On the ground floor there was the cafe & The New Craftsmen stations. You could watch some of the creations come to life, right in front of you and the best bit was that they interacted with

you and so asking questions was welcome! I was completely submerged, the walls were covered in beautiful sketches and fabrics, there was such a lively atmosphere flowing through every corner of the event & so many wonderful things that your eyes couldnt help but be drawn too!

Heading upstairs I quickly realised that this building is exactly where the show was staged, I recognised the distinctive green carpet from watching the show livestream at home. The mannequins all stood so proud, like soldiers all being admired. The great thing about the whole experience was you were able to touch the garments, feel what the textures like, not just see images of them. It was a really surreal experience because who would have thought i would be this close, never mind, handle these garments so fresh off the runway! One of the main point for the 1 week event was, right there and then you could buy everything shown. This was the first time ever that anyone has ever done this move, and personally i think its a great step forward in the fashion world.

Here are some of my images, enjoy!!
