My passion for fashion promotion, the awareness of a brands identity and all the added extras brands do to get their creations known and talked about, started when I was at college. Initially I thought, I wanted to be a lavish designer and create beautiful garments but, to my realisation my real passion and interest lies with the promotion aspect of the fashion world. So with that in mind, for my second and final year at college, I focused in more on that side - which at the time I gave myself a larger workload to do, as I was on the Fashion Design & Textiles course! My outcome was well worth it and at the end of the year I had 1)Made a garment 2)Organised a photoshoot and developed my images into a A2 poster 3)Created & Developed a physical and digital lookbook & 4)Self promotion (Postcard sized contact card.)

I wanted to create a platform where my images could get showcased with a clear theme and identity running throughout. To accompany the lookbook/ website I created physical booklet, displaying the content in a slightly different way but still with the same identity. Check it out my interactive lookbook online by clicking the images below!

My realisation of wanting to pursue fashion media and promotion seeded from choosing textiles at GCSE level, doing well at that and attending Batley School Of Art to study Fashion Design & Textiles to where I am now, The University of the Creative Arts Rochester studying Fashion Media & Promotion. I guess having the design knowledge, a keen interest in textiles & a slight background and skill with pattern cutting is always going to stay with me and has unintentionally guided me to where I am today. So I am very thankful for all the teachers and tutors who I moaned at saying 'I didn't want to make this, because it's not what I want to do anymore' & my digital media tutor in college who taught me my base skills for the industry that I want to pursue, because your persistence really helped me acknowledge what I want to do as a career for my future.
