Push It!

For my latest unit at university we all had been given a song to analyse including lyrics and video that accompanies it, on top of all the research materials behind that specific song. The song I had was the upbeat and very lively, Salt N Pepa: Push It. I was super happy with it and couldn't wait to start organising my shoot. For the people who haven't heard the song before firstly listen to it because it's great and secondly, it's all about getting with someone - very directly sexualy. After analysing the song for a while, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to turn it into a different direction. I took the word 'push it' turned it on it's head and came up with a photoshoot located in a gym. I had sourced 2 stunning girls to model, a boxing gym as my location, a great aspiring fashion photographer that also attends UCA Rochester and the outfits for the shoot. I wanted to stick with the black, white red and black colours and the gold jewelry.
