Today I went to Rochester Flea which is a monthly market on the high street, through The Gordon House Hotel. The small market allows independent business owners to set up their stalls and sell their crafts and works. It was great, as I walked through the entrance there was a stall to the left of me selling the most delicious looking homemade bakes including flapjacks, brownies, cakes and other sweet goodies. The majority of the stalls were held outside so thats were I went first. Curious and excited, I walked to the first stall and I met Roisin & Nick who's cards I was drawn too very much. Nick makes the cards himself, drawing and illustrating on his ipad, enabling him to work on a large scale including a lot of detail, even when printed.

Road maps of Rochester and the surrounding areas printed onto interior decorations of the next stall. Janine Frost had made some great decorations and lampshades that filled the stall with colour. Along side the maps were some brooches designed by Nicki Gillham, made from wood, carved shapes of butterflies and birds, looking ever so delicate. Great gifts for the festive season! (Click to enlarge images.)

I spotted some really cool copper painted, hand made candles some scented and some unfragranced, nevertheless, looked great! These were made by Janine's daughter, Louisa Frost.

Jo held a really interesting stall, he fuses nature with design so beautifully, creating little worlds for each plant he sells. The amazing glass holder looks super stylish with effortless design, and I think they look fantastic! All hand made, he uses soil, stone and little pebbles for the plant to sit in while the outer is glass and metal soldered together, (as I understand.)

I met a lady called Caroline, who had the best coat for the winter conditions that were upon us today during the market. Coat from Urban Outfitters by Adidas.

I continued my day to the Rochester christmas market/ fair just up the road from the flea market however, I didnt stay there as long. It was getting really cold and I should have dressed much warmer however, I did have a little browse and came across some interesting stalls. Here are some images I took there.

So my outfit for the day, I should have dressed much warmer than I did, as I completely under estimated how cold it was outside! Anyway...
